The Media Computer Scientist is a specialist who helps to create the future world of information. He is a handyman who has an deep understanding of different media, marketing aspects and information technology and is therefore especially suited to act as a link between these worlds in a company.

The Media Computer Scientist sees a project through from the idea to the realization. He programs web-applications, operates web-servers, administers computer networks, creates (multi-) media of all kind and is able to take care of customers.

LimeSurvey:

I am a free developer for the web-based LimeSurvey survey software. I developed the SOAP web-service API for LimeSurvey and I maintain it in my free time.

HIS GmbH:

From Octobre 2008 to Septembre 2010 I worked for the HIS GmbH, a company which developes web-based management systems for universities and other Higher Education Institutes around the world.

My field of responsibility in the first year was to develop the LimeSurvey web-service further and connect the LimeSurvey software to the existing management software from HIS. The system was taken into production at the University of Cologne in the beginning of 2010 and is used to evaluate the courses of over 30.000 Students.

In the second year I developed a prototype for OpenOffice based reporting to create serial letters and on time reports with operational data over the OpenOffice UNO API.
